unit 59 assignment 2
web specification
To advertise and inform people about the festival. I will do through the pictures, copy and embedded twitter column with confirmed appearances etc. I can also do this through a possible newsletter keeping my audience up to date with things around the festival. Also, merch page allows festival to make extra money to help pay cost of venues. The web page can also advertise other things my target audience might be interested in.
Appearance:
Dark colour pallet with contrasting bright coloured text to make things stand out. The home page will be more based around with appealing pictures to the target audience and important information. I want the bat logo faintly in the background of each page with low opacity. Everything on the site should appeal to the target audience even the adverts should be dark or somewhat scary.
Content:

The festival will be known for dark and somewhat scary aesthetic. Bright text to contrast with the dark aesthetic. There will be merch available to buy from the website and at the festival itself. Merch will consist of beanies, hoodies, t-shirts alongside other stuff such a as badges and cups which will appeal to the target audience. Branding will reflect the festivals identity, dark, scary and somewhat gory. The website supports the branding as it will be mostly black with occasional whites and bright colours.

Copy/written content:
Festival description/ about and contact details (fake phone number and email)
The festival is celebrating emos and goths culture. There will be live performances from popular emo and goth bands, food and drink plus various stalls like a fake tattoo stall and a merch stall. The festival is probably only suitable for people ages 12+ since some of the songs may be explicit. The way people dress might also scare people younger than 12. Etc.
FAQs and answers
Dates and locations if festival moves around the UK?
Quotes from people being excited to go/previous experience.
Advertising:
The website will be advertising the festival by having things to do with the festival all over the website.
There will be other advertisements, but they are genre specific so that it fits the website aesthetic and the festivals identity. For example, I could advertise the fact my chemical romance is back together or a new album/horror film. This will keep the audience satisfied since they are only able to look at things that would interest them.
Additional information:
Everything on the website must appeal to the audience!!
