Final Poster Design  Logo Web Banner. Reflection notes  I have created advertising material for a poster about an emo and goth festival. The first thing i made was a logo which people would recognise as a grey bat with white eyes with a night in the dark near it. Then I made a poster which was the main set task. The web banner was the last thing I made which works well and is the closest to the design. I made each of these with things the target audience would like in mind such as darkness, mist or fog etc without making it seeming like something that is advertising something for Halloween.   I created each part by creating designs to follow, a mood board including things people would find appealing in that audience and a mind map to gather ideas to pick the festival. Project Proposal: a night in the dark Background  [What is the brief asking you to make?]  The brief given is asking me to design a poster which advertises a festival we are creating. The festival promotions (website, posters etc) should attract my target audience of young emos or goths but also people looking for new music. The audience age range is 16-24-year olds so the poster should look modern and familiar to the target audience. For example, I can attract my target audience by using a dark colour pallet with recognisable music artists such as panic at the disco and twenty-one pilots which are well known bands. digital graphics  Pixels A pixel is a small square which build an image. The more pixels there are the higher the photo quality. when you zoom in the picture becomes blurry. in the picture above I cut out it the clown in Photoshop and zoomed in to show the pixels which look like little squares.  vectors Vector graphics are computer graphics images that are defined in terms of 2D points, which are connected by lines and curves to form polygons and other shapes. vectors can be seen everywhere like for app logos and magazines. vectors can be chosen to do logos as they can be seen digitally or on websites. vectors stay smooth when you zoom in where as pixels don't. vectors can be used for printing.  Lossless compression is a class of data compression algorithms that allows the original data to be perfectly reconstructed from the compressed data.
